❙ Step Into Something More Playful

Michelle Randall is an educator with 17 years of classroom experience and the creator of The Playful Educator's Path.

The idea grew out of her own classroom. Over the years, Michelle noticed that some of the most memorable moments happened when she brought playful energy into ordinary parts of the school day.

A routine became a game. A classroom challenge inspired a creative solution. A simple tradition gave kids something to look forward to.

Those small moments became a bigger idea: play does not have to be something extra. It can be woven into routines, lessons, traditions, and everyday classroom experiences.

A story from the classroom

Find Your Playful Path

One summer, a walk down the summer aisle at Walmart inspired me to buy four giant beach balls. I had no big plan. I just knew I was determined to find a playful way to use them in my classroom.

Those beach balls eventually became the Beach Ball Relay, a multiple-choice review game that brought the room to life. Kids were laughing, cheering, thinking, and learning together. The joy was impossible to miss.

That was the moment I knew I wanted to lead with joy. The Playful Educator's Path grew from that idea. Sometimes, the missing piece of the classroom puzzle is simply finding a playful way to approach what we are already doing.

The path is filled with ideas from my classroom that you can try, tweak, and make your own. I hope you'll join me on the path, find some inspiration, and discover what play can look like in your own space.

The Big Idea

The goal is simple: make classrooms more playful so kids genuinely enjoy being at school.

The Playful Educator's Path is not centered on data or test scores. It is centered on the classroom experience and creating spaces where kids look forward to learning, connecting, laughing, and spending time with one another.

Because how kids feel in a classroom matters, too.

Let's Make Classrooms More Playful

Not every moment of the school day needs to be a game. Sometimes, all it takes is a touch of playful energy to make an ordinary classroom moment feel different.

Give a routine a fresh spin. Create a tradition kids cannot wait for. Turn an everyday challenge into a chance to try something new.

That is the heart of The Playful Educator's Path. Let's take the path together and make classrooms a bit more playful.
